David Pastrnak scored twice as the Bruins best the Leafs 6-4 to even up the series at 2 on Wednesday night. Brad Marchand had two points on the night, Tuukka Rask made 38 saves and Zdeno Chara became the second-oldest defenseman in NHL(nhl championship rings) history to score a playoff goal at the ripe age of 42. Auston Matthews scored two goals for the Leafs, who head to Boston for Game 5 on Friday night. Frederik Andersen stopped 25 shots.
The Bruins got up to a 2-0 lead, the Leafs(Toronto Maple Leafs championship rings) came back to tie it up with goals from Zach Hyman at 17:55 of the first, and then Matthews with his first of the night at 1:07 of the second period. Pasrtrnak put the Bruins ahead in the second at 3:16 after he directed a pass from Marchand on a 2-on-1. He scored his second goal just 1:35 later when Matthews was called for roughing. The pass came from Marchand again who whipped a backhander to an open Pastrnak who went short side on Andersen to make it 3-2.
Chara made it 5-2 at 5:39 of the third, but the Leafs(championship rings for sale) got back to back goals from Matthews on the power play with 8:08 left, and the other from Travis Dermott who buried one through traffic with 6:33 left in the game to make it 5-4.
Joakim Nordstrom made it 6-4 with an empty net goal to get the win.
